Team Lead

Summary

Join Wallarm, a global remote-first team, and become our Python/Go Team Lead to enhance our API Abuse prevention product. We protect clients against malicious bots, account takeover, and other automated threats. You will own the technical vision, lead a cross-functional engineering team, and develop high-performance solutions using Python and Go. The role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams, and expertise in API development and microservices. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering (Python and Go) and microservice architecture
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams
• Broad experience in API development
• Understanding of parallel and concurrent programming principles
• Hands-on experience with high-loaded systems
• Good knowledge of modern software architecture

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, ensure high-quality solutions and oversee the team’s successful delivery
• Drive key technical decisions, roadmap planning and tech debt management to align engineering efforts with business goals
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team of Backend, Frontend and QA engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration
• Develop and enhance software using Python (70%) and Go (30%), designing scalable, high-performance solutions
• Contribute to open-source projects, such as GoTestWAF, fostering community engagement and collaboration
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration, gathering requirements, sharing knowledge and ensuring smooth project execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity and/or hands-on experience with ML
• Proven technical background in the security domain
• Hands-on experience with API protocols: REST, GRPC and GraphQL
• Experience in designing and implementing anti-abuse solutions would be a huge plus
