Tech Lead Data Platform

Summary

The job is for a Tech Lead Data Platform Engineer at Kobalt Music, a leading music company. The role involves implementing the company's Data Platform Strategy and managing their data platform infrastructure. The team works on various projects such as building out Kobalt’s Data Platform and Data Mesh, large scale entity resolution service, forecasting, and detecting up-and-coming singer/songwriters.

Requirements

• Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, ...)
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise writing Automated Tests
• Expertise monitoring, automated alerting of services
• Experience writing and optimising ETL pipelines
• Cloud computing experience, especially around ETL, orchestration and permissions
• Expertise in at least one OOP language out of Python, Java, Scala
• Experience writing SQL

Responsibilities

• Implement the company's Data Platform Strategy
• Manage Kobalt Music’s data platform infrastructure
• Engage with stakeholders to ideate and build out Kobalt’s Data Platform and Data Mesh
• Develop large scale entity resolution service
• Forecast royalties across the catalogue
• Detect and track the performance of up-and-coming singer/songwriters

Preferred Qualifications

• Docker, Kubernetes
• Jupyter, DBT
• AWS
• Kafka
• BI tools such as Tableau/Quicksight
• Experience with python web scraping tools
• An interest or experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
