Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • At least 5 years in a senior technical leadership, CTO, or founder role
  • Track record of successfully founding or growing software companies, launching complex technical products from scratch
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact innovation projects from inception to traction
  • Has successfully transferred ownership of these projects for long term ownership
  • Deep Technical Expertise: knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and what to do as scaling challenge arise
  • Innovative Problem Solver: passion for solving complex, high-impact problems with creativity and an outside-the-box approach
  • Strong Communication Skills: ability to distill complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence teams through clear and effective communication
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: founder’s mentality, balancing risk, innovation, and the pragmatic needs of a growing business

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of major pieces of our product, responsible for technical strategy, aligning it with the company’s overall vision and goals
  • Leverage your experience as a technical leader to introduce and advocate for innovative technologies, frameworks, and practices
  • Design and influence major architectural decisions when introducing new capabilities, ensuring our platform remains scalable, secure, and performant with adoption
  • Work closely with product, design, engineering, and leadership teams to translate business needs into technical strategies and ensure alignment on key projects
  • Act as a mentor to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Share insights and best practices, and contribute to the overall growth of the organization
  • Take ownership of complex technical challenges and lead development of these initiatives to drive competitive advantage in our product offerings
  • Partner with product development squads to ensure long term ownership of the things you introduce, tackling the knowledge-sharing and scaling challenges of tech transfer
  • Work with teams across the company to guide decisions and set direction, without initially having direct management responsibility
