Summary

Join Hover's Technical Onboarding Specialist team and play a pivotal role in helping contractors transition to our innovative estimation and ordering platform. You will own the technical implementation of our platform, working directly with customers to onboard them onto our system. This role requires a strong understanding of the home improvement industry, particularly siding installation, and proven project management skills. You'll collaborate extensively with internal teams and customers, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. Requirements

  • Be a Siding Expert; understand materials needed for Hardie and Vinyl siding installation
  • Have 2+ years of experience in Production Management, Project Management, Customer Support, Sales, Onboarding, Implementation, or a related function in the Home Improvement industry
  • Have a proven ability to partner and communicate clearly with customers and external partners through complex processes and engagements
  • Possess robust project management experience, including juggling multiple projects and maintaining an 80/20 mindset
  • Have strong Excel skills (e.g., comfortable with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)
  • Have experience working on technical implementations and be comfortable spending many hours in systems building customer solutions
  • Possess strong knowledge of the home improvement/construction industry; understand contractors and their day-to-day

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical built-out required to implement the Estimation & Ordering platform
  • Be an expert in our product and its capabilities
  • Have empathy for our customers and the challenges they are facing
  • Partner with customers as they transform their business model using Hover
  • Spend ~25% of your time working directly with customers (1:1s and group calls)
  • Efficiently onboard customers to our platform in high-touch engagements
  • Spend ~50% of your time working in various tools and systems to onboard customers effectively
  • Build out a customized workflow for each customer, involving in-depth backend work and data entry
  • Spend ~15% of your time collaborating with peers to improve onboarding methods and drive growth
  • Spend ~10% of your time collaborating with other teams (Product, Engineering, Sales)
