Join Eurofins Discovery Services North America as a Business Development Manager and contribute to the success of our drug discovery research services. You will be responsible for meeting sales targets, supporting global business development strategies, and building strong client relationships. Collaborate with the team to provide scientific support, author work plans, and maintain project trackers. Requirements
- A minimum education of a B.S. in Pharmacology, Biology, Chemistry or similar Life Science degree with demonstrated experience in selling large molecule discovery services
- Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development process particularly for Biotherapeutics
- Understanding of or prior experience in the large molecule pharmaceutical market and proven ability to analyze and act on the global business trends to drive regional business development activities
- Exceptional business development, organization, negotiation and communication skills
- Valid Driverβs license
Responsibilities
- Responsible for meeting Eurofins Discovery BTX services sales targets and revenue growth targets
- Support the global BTX business development strategy
- Attend calls with the BD team to provide scientific support and qualify early opportunties
- Author and present BTX workplans to clients; work directly with Business Line Leader (BLL) and lab team to align on methods, pricing and timelines
- Build and maintain project trackers for specific ongoing client programs
- Development and maintain high level client relationships through regular meetings, both face-to-face and virtual
- Attend and participate in data discussions with clients
- Provide recommendations and feedback for business development and operational strategy
- Develop and present client facing presentations through in-person and virtual seminars
- Maintain a high level of technical and application competence and utilize this knowledge to drive business
- Promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Provide feedback and analysis to operations to improve/adjust/expand marketing strategies
- Performs other duties as assigned, example: attend trade shows
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
- Use MS-CRM to log client meetings and significant calls as well as for the tracking of all opportunities
- Complete expense reports per policy
- Ability to accommodate early morning calls preferred as while based in NA, this role may also require communication with European clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Special consideration will be given to those candidates who have 5+ years of commercial, client-facing experience in a scientific and/or technical sales role
- Located near biotech/pharma clients and/or industry hubs is preferrable to accommodate a greater number of in-person meetings without significant travel efforts
