Technical Support Engineer

Summary

Join IDT Corporation as a Technical Support Engineer to proactively monitor and resolve production alerts within their Global network using tools like Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zabbix, Jira, and Slack. Requirements

• Excellent monitoring/troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, Networks
• Working knowledge of issues/ticket track system
• Good level of English – B2 or higher

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor all production networks, applications, and services
• Respond to & resolve alerts/alarms according to standard operating procedures
• Track all issues in a ticketing system
• Escalate alerts/issues to the appropriate Support team and work with Support team towards a timely resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• New Relic (or Datadog or SolarWinds)
• Splunk or other data log management tools like DynaTrace/Loggly/SumoLogic
• Linux/Unix - basic knowledge
• Networking (basic understanding of BGP, MPLS, OSPF protocols)
