Summary

PingWind is seeking a remote Technical Writer with a Secret clearance and Associate’s degree to create and maintain documentation for government contracts, focusing on clarity, accuracy, and compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer and be familiar with government regulations.

Requirements

• Ensure consistency in language and style across all government contract documentation
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, project management, and technical teams, to gather information and insights for documentation
• Implement version control systems for documentation to track changes and maintain accurate records
• Proven experience in technical writing, with a focus on government contracts
• Familiarity with government regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Experience in explaining highly technical data and information in simplistic grade school language for end users of complex IT systems and projects
• Must be able to use a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools
• Gather and convert data into a written narrative
• Develop comprehensive and clear documentation for government contracts, including proposals, technical specifications, and project plans
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in all documentation
• Stay up to date with government regulations and contract requirements to ensure all documentation adheres to relevant standards
• Verify that all content complies with security and privacy policies associated with government contracts
• Review and edit existing documentation to improve clarity, coherence, and adherence to contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications or a relate field
