Requirements
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve a sales target
- Analyze data to drive strategic plans
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Possess an outgoing personality with excellent people skills
- Have a strong ability to relate and effectively build relationships with people
- Have 3+ years working experience in related field
- Possess excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Have a proactive and positive attitude
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Have a passion for Pets and the Planet
- Be proficient in basic Excel and PowerPoint; experience with sales reporting systems
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets for your assigned territory. This involves developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Develop sales forecasts and strategies for the territory based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights. This helps in aligning sales activities with overall company goals
- Manage budgets related to sales activities, including expenses for travel, sales promotions, and customer engagements
- Develop existing and new client relationships within the territory, to serve as a strategic partner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders in the pet food supply chain. This includes regular store visits and frequent communication to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Provide training and support to distributors and retailers on product features, benefits, and selling techniques. Ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively promote and sell Open Farm products
- Address customer issues and resolve complaints promptly and effectively. This requires good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to find solutions
- Actively seek out new business opportunities by identifying potential customers and partnerships within the territory. This could involve prospecting, cold calling, and networking
- Work closely with marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and other marketing activities within the territory. This may include organizing events, trade shows, and demonstrations
- Monitor market & industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide insights and recommendations. Regularly reporting sales results, market conditions, and customer feedback to management
- Ensure that all sales and marketing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience in the pet industry and/or as a Territory Sales Manager
