Trust & Safety Product Policy Manager

Summary

The Product Policy Manager will work closely with product teams to build and implement platform tools for user safety and platform integrity, conduct detailed investigations of complex cases, drive best practices in policy and risk mitigation, communicate impact of abuse and gaps in detections, research and analyze trends on harmful content posts, and partner with internal stakeholders. The role requires a B.A./B.S. in related fields, 3+ years' experience in trust and safety for UGC platforms, proficiency with technology and online project management systems, experience working with Zendesk, proficiency in Excel and/or SQL, cultural awareness of trends and pop culture in United States/North America, interest in content policy, compliance, and/or internet governance, and experience working with multicultural companies.

Requirements

• Education: B.A./B.S. in related fields
• 3+ years' experience in trust and safety for UGC platforms
• Strong proficiency with technology and online project management systems: SharePoint, MS Office, Airtable
• Must have experience working with Zendesk
• Proficiency in Excel and/or SQL, and experience preparing reports
• Culturally aware of trends and pop culture in United States/North America
• Interested in content policy, compliance, and/or internet governance
• Must have experience working with multicultural company

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product teams to build and implement platform tools geared towards user safety and platform integrity
• Conduct detailed investigations of complex cases and ensure timely and effective resolution, while maintaining detailed documentation and reporting on findings and actions taken
• Drive best practices in policy and risk mitigation, manage regulatory readiness and enforcement outcomes, and resolve user safety scenarios, while identifying opportunities for improved compliance
• Communicate the impact of abuse, impact of our moderation, gaps in our detections, safety risks, and other threats to internal teams and stakeholders
• Ensure that internal teams/departments understand our reactive and proactive user safety policies are enforced
• Research and analyze trends on new categories of harmful content posts and lead internal workshops and education programs on these topics
• Partner with internal stakeholders, such as Legal and Community Operations teams, in developing and refining product, policies and operations to improve creator and reader experience
• Assist with a broad set of activities that support policy and product development and implementation in the company for platform campaigns and events
