Ux Researcher

Summary

Join our dynamic Digital Product Engineering company as a UX Researcher and collaborate with our team to define research objectives and execute plans. You will assist in conducting user research and competitive analysis, shaping user stories and personas based on findings. Conduct usability tests and interviews, analyze data to refine designs, and communicate findings effectively. This role requires experience in remote usability testing and qualitative data analysis, along with excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is required, and French is preferred. A degree in relevant fields is beneficial but not essential.

Requirements

• Moderation Experience: At least 2 years of experience conducting remote usability testing or user interviews
• Data Analysis: At least 2 years of experience analyzing qualitative data from usability tests and user interviews
• Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to work closely with an in-house team, following our lead while bringing valuable insights to the table
• Best Practices: Solid knowledge of user research best practices, ensuring methodological rigour and actionable insights
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication
• At least half of the researchers must be fluent in both French and English
• While fluency in English is required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the UX Research team to define objectives and execute research plans
• Assist in planning and conducting user research and competitive analysis
• Help shape user stories, personas, and journey maps based on research findings
• Conduct usability tests and remote user interviews, ensuring high-quality moderation
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to refine designs and provide clear, actionable insights tailored to the African market
• Communicate findings effectively to align with ongoing projects
• Assist with the writing of reports and presentations
• Adhere to established UX research best practices and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• User Research
• French Language
• A degree in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Social Sciences, or Anthropology
• It is a huge bonus if the researchers can speak/write a widely used African language (e.g., French, Arabic, Portuguese)
