Summary
Join NBCUniversal as a UX Researcher and lead stakeholder discovery to define actionable UX requirements for product designers. You will produce comprehensive documentation, conduct UX research, and perform audits. Present findings to ensure user-friendliness and actively participate in design critiques. This fully remote position requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of UX research experience, and proven success in generating actionable insights. Excellent communication skills and experience with various research methodologies are essential. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in UX Research or equivalent field
- 5+ years+ professional UX research experience with a proven track record of generating actionable insights that resulted in measurable product improvements
- Experience with a broad range of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, across the various stages of product development (pre and post product launch)
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, driving alignment around business needs and design strategies
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, interpersonal)โฏand can present effectively to executive audiences
- Working knowledge of FigJam; basic knowledge of Figma
- A portfolio of case studies, including research projects and writing samples (please include link in application)
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate discovery with stakeholders to define actionable UX requirements for product designers
- Produce clear, concise documentation, including: UX requirements, user flows, site maps, personas, slides, etc. to inform interaction design process
- Conduct competitive and comparative UX research across a wide range of topics; eloquently present insights, tying directly to actionable steps to influence experience design strategy
- Conduct UX and Accessibility audits and present findings to ensure user-friendliness and adoption
- Actively participate in design critiques, giving and receiving feedback and providing quality control across all supported products
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years+ professional experience with internal enterprise applications
- Familiarity with design systems, especially Material Design
- Basic knowledge of Accessibility
- Analytical thinking: Ability to understand data and research, derive meaningful insights, and interpret for a non-technical audience
- Effective communication: Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with team members
- Attention-to-detail: Keen eye for accuracy in research and documentation
