Remote UX/UI Designer

Summary

Alpha Omega Agency (AOA) is seeking a freelance UX/UI Designer to collaborate with stakeholders and create user-centered designs. The designer will work directly under the Chief Product Officer and have experience with Shopify and other ecommerce platforms, preferably from an agency setting. A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms is required.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience
• Experience with Shopify and other ecommerce platforms
• Proficient in Figma
• A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong sense of ownership
• Strong communication skills to convey and articulate designs to both clients and internal teams

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients to understand business goals and objectives
• Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements and user feedback in collaboration with Strategist
• Create, develop and/or optimize usability audits, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, sitemaps, mock ups, with a mobile first approach, that looks to solve existing business problems
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve for existing UX/UI issues
• Guide and document how and why components, styles and patterns are applied in code and design
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams
• Effectively collaborate with product, project management and engineering teams
• Continually explore opportunities to enhance, improve, and expand methodologies and work
