Summary
Join Vonage's Global Carrier team and help drive revenue growth in the International Messaging and voice business. As a Vendor Partnership Manager, you will create and lead the strategy for the North American market, ensuring optimal network connectivity for customers. Collaborate with sales, operations, and product teams to understand market needs, monitor supplier performance, and coordinate internal teams for end-to-end request processing. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key supplier partners, communicate team KPIs, and define customer support standards. This hands-on role requires deep understanding of the U.S. messaging ecosystem and experience working with U.S.-based carriers and aggregators. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with flexibility for remote work within the Eastern Time Zone.
Requirements
- Solid technical, commercial, and operational knowledge of messaging products (SMS, MMS, and RCS)
- Proven ability to confidently present to stakeholders at all levels, including representing Vonage at local industry conferences such as MWC, ITW and MEF
- Deep understanding of the U.S. messaging ecosystem, including market regulations, operational standards, and compliance requirements
- Direct experience working with U.S.-based carriers and aggregators, with a strong grasp of industry dynamics and key partnerships
Responsibilities
- Create, own, and lead the strategy and plan for the North American market to ensure Vonage has the best connectivity products and services to meet our customer's needs
- Collaborate with the local sales, operations and product teams to fully understand the market requirements
- Monitor the performance of the suppliers with respect to quality and costs to meet the companyβs targets and objectives
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure requests from customers and the business are processed and delivered end-to-end
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key supplier partners
- Provide effective communication around team KPIs and performance both upwards to the Senior Leadership Team and to the wider organization
- Define customer support standards with partners, including a robust escalation process
- Be the go-to person for your markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing API-based messaging platforms or CPaaS environments
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SHAFT filtering, 10DLC registration, and toll-free verification in the U.S
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret messaging traffic trends and vendor performance data
