Vice President of Compliance, Remote - United States

Summary

The job is for a Vice President of Compliance at Hello Heart, a digital therapeutics company specializing in heart disease. The role includes building and maintaining a healthcare compliance program, managing privacy compliance, reporting to the Executive Leadership Team on key compliance matters, partnering with the organization to architect new compliant business opportunities, collaborating with Corporate Counsel to review contracts for compliance issues, and staying abreast of developments in compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and/or certification(s) demonstrating healthcare compliance expertise
• 10+ years compliance experience within the healthcare space, experience in healthtech or medtech preferred
• In-depth knowledge of managed government healthcare programs, including Medicare Advantage
• Experience building a privacy compliance program for a HIPAA-regulated entity
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change-management skills
• Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risk with solid judgment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong, right-sized healthcare compliance program
• Manage our privacy compliance program, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and relevant state privacy laws
• Report to the Executive Leadership Team on key compliance matters
• Partner with the organization to architect new, compliant business opportunities
• Collaborate with Corporate Counsel to review contracts for compliance issues
• Stay abreast of developments in compliance requirements at the state and Federal levels, particularly related to healthcare compliance, data governance, and privacy
