Summary

Join Wowza Media Systems as their driven and hands-on Vice President of Sales to lead and scale their New Logo and Expansion sales teams. This player-coach role will embed best-in-class sales practices, drive day-to-day executional excellence, and build a high-performing, metrics-driven team. You will shape the strategy and ensure predictable, sustainable growth across new customer acquisition and account expansion. This role is ideal for a sales leader thriving in high-growth environments, driving discipline and results, and wanting to build and scale a world-class direct sales organization. The position can be located in Lakewood, CO, or remote.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience building and leading high-performing direct sales teams, preferably in SaaS or high-growth technology environments
  • Proven ability to operate as a player-coach—engaging in deals while scaling a team
  • Deep experience driving both new-logo acquisition and customer expansion strategies
  • Strong command of sales metrics, CRM best practices, and operational rigor
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional leader with a collaborative, data-driven mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop top-performing sales professionals across both new business and expansion teams
  • Serve as a player-coach: directly support strategic opportunities while fostering team growth and accountability
  • Foster a culture of high performance, executional rigor, and continuous improvement
  • Own go-to-market strategy across both new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion
  • Drive pipeline generation, qualification, and conversion with clarity and consistency
  • Enforce scalable sales methodologies and playbooks aligned to each stage of the funnel
  • Implement and refine forecasting processes, CRM discipline, and data hygiene
  • Define and manage KPIs: bookings, win rates, cycle times, expansion revenue, and quota attainment
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership to drive business decisions
