Join Altarum as their Population Health Vice President and lead the growth and evolution of their Federal, State, and Local client portfolio. This position demands strong leadership, presentation, and strategic influencing skills, with significant exposure to Altarum's C-suite and board. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in population health, with a proven track record of success in government contracting and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years relevant experience serving as a key stakeholder, decision maker and catalyst for federal and state level population health
  • Experience in government contracting (required) with deep understanding of the federal population health competitive landscape, customer priorities and challenges across various agencies and departments
  • Relevant subject matter expertise in at least one of our populations/domains
  • Ability to analyze and understand healthcare policy and contribute as a thought leader through industry workgroups and convenings
  • Experience selling or managing sales of complex products and services, such as training and technical assistance, survey science and evaluation, and/or workforce, provider training and practice transformation, including successful implementation of service offerings
  • Ability to communicate new concepts succinctly and effectively to senior level executives at the national and state level
  • Effectiveness at winning new business and leading the business unit’s largest and most sophisticated proposals and pitches
  • Ability to embrace existing positive culture while improving the organization’s appetite for partnerships and cross-organization collaboration
  • Skill to seamlessly takeover existing relationships with key customers (existing relationships a plus)
  • Leadership and management skills, especially in fast-paced, highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to manage time across multiple assignments and clients, including new business opportunities
  • Expertise at creating comprehensive solutions, services, and products
  • Be organized and data driven

  • Our organization requires that all work, for the duration of your employment, must be completed in the continental U.S. unless required by contract
  • Must be able to work during eastern time unless approved by your manager
  • Employees working remotely must have a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace free from distractions with a mobile device that allows for productive and efficient conduct of business

  • Work together with, and guide, business unit leadership and corporate supports, including the Proposal and Opportunity Management and Growth teams, to retain and grow current clients, attract new clients, and expand capabilities and offerings
  • Leverage prior experience to oversee workflow and the overall coordination of support necessary to drive and support customer success
  • Anticipate opportunities and pitfalls and develop appropriate strategies for the best possible outcome for clients and the company
  • Be a systems thinker with the ability to solve issues and business needs in creative and lasting ways
  • Ensure all team members are well supported and well utilized

  • Serve as a mentor to others, building and developing talent to drive the future success of the organization, specifically in developing high quality products and services

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients, project managers, and other key stakeholders and business partners

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or a related field
