Summary

Join Red Canary as the Vice President, Sales, leading the East Coast sales operation across large enterprise, mid-enterprise, and SMB customers. You will significantly impact Red Canary's growth by hiring, coaching, and mentoring a high-performing sales team. This role demands strategic planning, execution of sales plans, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The VP of East Sales will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and requires a deep understanding of the security market and extensive experience leading scaled sales teams. Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of Security market
  • Location East Coast, required
  • A proven track record of leading scaled sales teams as a second line leader and successfully executing against objectives
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience building, managing, and guiding Sales teams towards set goals
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to implement both short-term and long-term sales plans
  • Strong planning, writing, presentation, and communication skills’
  • Strong relationships and experience working with channel and alliance partners to grow the region’s business
  • Growth mindset with the ability to learn, adapt and improve constantly
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative and able to work in ambiguous situations normal in a growing environment
  • Experience as a hands-on sales leader who enjoys building and maintaining operational excellence

Responsibilities

  • Understand and internalize the Red Canary mission and vision and translate them into a Sales strategy
  • Execute against overall sales plan and lead team in sales goals and forecasting, as well as implement processes, infrastructure, and hiring to execute against sales financial plans
  • Act as an ambassador across our customers, partners and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a strong performance culture while leading successful teams
  • Work strategically with regional Demand Generation, Sales Engineering, as well as with Product, Marketing, Channels/Partnerships and Customer Success to accelerate growth
  • Develop front-line leaders with a positive attitude and desire to help them grow their careers in a supportive, yet accountable, environment
  • Empower individuals and teams to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship
  • Create strategies and develop materials necessary to accelerate customer acquisition, customer retention and customer growth
  • Build a strong cross-functional operating cadence with teams around pipeline, forecasting, deal review, execution, deployment and revenue realization
  • Play an active role in sales strategy and business planning and help to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Be an active member in the region’s cybersecurity community

Benefits

  • Base salary for this role is $203,750 - $250,000 per year, plus commission for total estimated on-target earnings on $407,500 - $500,000
  • This role is eligible for a grant of stock options, subject to the approval of the company's board of directors
