Virtual Data & Communications Coordinator

Summary

Join ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa as a Virtual Data & Communications Coordinator! This fully remote role, based in South Africa and working Sunday to Thursday, 9am–6pm EST, requires supporting U.S.-based healthcare companies. You will perform data entry, quality control, manage communications, and oversee data processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. healthcare standards. The ideal candidate possesses experience in the U.S. healthcare industry, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year experience in the U.S. healthcare industry (experience with EHR systems or healthcare admin preferred)
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to conduct sensitive and nuanced conversations professionally
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word; no advanced Excel required)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Familiarity with navigating databases and digital communication tools
• Reliable internet and power backup solution as outlined above

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks of customers’ EHR systems to verify that the database contains accurate information, manually extracting and uploading missing data as needed
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with established requirements and workflows, performing data cleaning where necessary
• Manage and support the daily communications process, including overseeing the sending and responding to messages on a regular schedule using the internal system
• Assist in monitoring messaging quality and ensure timely follow-up with contacts, collaborating with AI tools as they are implemented
• Oversee data extraction and processing of information primarily handled by AI, maintaining responsibility for all aspects of quality control
