Summary

Join Mediavine as our VP of Advertising Solutions and lead our high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth. You will manage relationships with key partners, including retailers, brands, agencies, and DSPs. The VP of Advertising Solutions reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and plays a crucial role in shaping Mediavine's market position.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience selling programmatic advertising, including 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven success in building, developing, and leading high-performing sales teams within the digital advertising industry, in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Established relationships within the Programmatic industry, including but not limited to: SSPs, DSPs, Data Partners and AdTech Vendors
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience negotiating and finalizing complex deals that meet strategic revenue goals
  • Experience with financial oversight, including developing and managing budgets
  • Experience as an in-person and virtual speaker for industry events
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, delivering impactful results through alignment and partnership with stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with both internal and external contacts
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on fostering an inclusive, innovative culture that supports employee development and long-term retention
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to travel to on-site locations for events/conferences, team retreats, leadership meetings, and the annual all hands events approximately 30% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Lead revenue accountability for Mediavine partnerships with retailers, brands, agencies and demand-side platforms
  • Attract, develop, mentor, lead, and retain a high-caliber team of professional Business Developers
  • Devise and assign account lists to sellers, manage prospect pipelines, and ensure alignment of sales, account, and demand teams against revenue-based targets
  • Accurately forecast revenue, analyze sales performance data against KPIs, and develop robust operational processes to support revenue growth
  • Develop and manage the sales budget for the department
  • Support key partnerships by building, maintaining, and managing relationships with prominent brands and agencies
  • Assume responsibility for the overall revenue team's annual goals while also directly managing key accounts
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Advertising Technology departments to set rate cards for products, formats, and regions
  • Partner with the marketing team to generate sales collateral and organize events to maximize Mediavine’s relationship with buyers
  • Attend key industry events, participate in panels, presentations, and other thought leadership activities to drive revenue activity and enhance Mediavine's visibility
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with outside revenue and technology partners, including but not limited to SSPs, DSPs, Comscore, IAS, TAG, Prebid.org, etc
  • Represent Mediavine’s revenue generation through participation in industry groups such as IAB, Prebid, W3C, etc
  • Availability to travel to on-site locations for events/conferences, team retreats, leadership meetings, and the annual all hands events approximately 30% of the time

Benefits

Base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications. The base salary range for this role at the time of posting is $190,000 - $200,000 USD/yr
