VP of IT

Summary

Join our organization as the Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) and work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to manage the company's IT strategy, infrastructure, and operations. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing the IT needs of municipal clients while collaborating with sales teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years at the executive level
• Proven experience working directly with clients, with a strong understanding of municipal or library systems highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, software development, cybersecurity, and data management
• Experience in managing complex IT projects, developing strategy, and driving IT innovation within an organization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong business acumen and sales experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the company's IT strategy
• Oversee the daily operations of the IT department
• Manage a team of IT professionals
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
• Work directly with clients to assess their IT requirements
• Partner with the sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for selling tailored IT solutions
• Develop customized proposals and technology roadmaps for clients
• Act as the primary point of contact for client IT engagements
• Identify and manage third-party vendors and technology partners
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to library services and municipal support
• Develop and manage the IT department’s budget
