Summary

Join Apply Digital as an Accessibility Product Consultant and ensure our digital products meet and exceed accessibility standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering, and Quality Assurance) to integrate accessibility into every stage of the product lifecycle. Review and validate product requirements and QA processes to align with accessibility best practices and legal standards (WCAG, ADA). Work with Design and UX teams to ensure inclusive design principles are applied. Serve as the primary point of contact for accessibility-related questions. Perform audits and reviews of existing products for accessibility compliance. Stay current with accessibility standards, tools, and technologies, and support the development of internal accessibility training and documentation. This role requires 3+ years of experience in Product Management or QA, with at least 1–2 years focused on digital accessibility and experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or professional services firm.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management or QA, with at least 1–2 years focused on digital accessibility
  • Previous experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (or later), and ADA, and other relevant accessibility standards
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control)
  • Experience writing product requirements or acceptance criteria with accessibility in mind
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse) and manual testing techniques
  • Ability to balance business priorities with the needs of users with disabilities
  • Ability to work standard business hours aligned to Pacific Standard Time (PST) is required

Responsibilities

  • Review and vet product requirements, acceptance criteria, and design specifications for accessibility considerations before development begins
  • Collaborate with QA teams to define and validate test cases that include accessibility checkpoints
  • Ensure accessibility requirements are documented, prioritized, and integrated into project planning and delivery timelines
  • Work with Design and UX teams to ensure inclusive design principles are applied across all digital experiences
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accessibility-related questions across product, design, development and QA teams
  • Perform audits and reviews of existing products for accessibility compliance and track remediation progress
  • Act as a liaison between the client and their accessibility partners to understand the findings of accessibility audits for the League’s digital platforms
  • Stay current with accessibility standards, tools, and technologies, and evangelize best practices across the organization
  • Support the development of internal accessibility training and documentation for product and QA stakeholders
  • Create programming and best practice guides for internal teams to follow best Accessibility standards
  • Triage, ticket, problem define, and identify the accessibility scope for engineering or program ops to fix / follow to resolve issues
  • Test Accessibility scope using multiple tools and manually test all new and enhanced features

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) is a plus but not required
