Summary

Ragan Communications is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious sales contributor with 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a sales role to serve as an Account Executive. The candidate will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business, collaborating with marketing teams, conducting ongoing competitive market analysis, and attending conferences and networking events. The ideal candidate should have advanced communication skills, experience using CRM software, and a demonstrated success in surpassing sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a sales role
  • Remote (or option to work in Chicago headquarters)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new business
  • Work productively within CRM database for accurate sales tracking and reporting
  • Persistently dig into data across multiple platforms to uncover top targets
  • Collaborate with marketing team to drive sales
  • Research, plan and execute ongoing competitive market analysis
  • Attend conferences and networking events to build network
  • Maintain fluency in Ragan’s suite of products and services and how they deliver value in the marketplace
  • Support sales leadership team with business-building projects and duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using CRM software and productivity tools
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence to engage professionally with executive- and C-level contacts
  • Strong customer advocacy with motivation to help others solve problems via product benefits
