This Account Executive role focuses on driving regional growth, strategic planning, value selling, and collaboration within a B2B SaaS environment.

Requirements

  • Proven success in closing complex SaaS deals with mid-market customers
  • Ability to strategically define and develop account and territory plans
  • Experience with various frameworks such as MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales, Gap Selling, SPIN Selling, Sandler, etc
  • At least 3 years of experience in selling SaaS solutions as an Account Executive
  • Demonstrable skills in relationship building and maintenance as well as the expansion of customer relationships
  • Understanding of the basic functionality of websites and cloud software
  • Ability to communicate effectively and on an equal footing with both technical and marketing contacts
  • German as a native language required
  • Willingness to travel, mainly within Germany, to foster customer relationships and participate in events (approx. 20% travel)

Responsibilities

  • Drive regional growth: Take responsibility for acquiring new customers in the mid-market (with an annual turnover of < โ‚ฌ1 billion)
  • Strategic planning & implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Storyblok's go-to-market strategy and maximize revenue potential in your assigned region
  • Value selling: Guide prospects through the sales process and present the individual added value & ROI of Storyblok
  • Collaboration: Work with BDR and partner teams on outbound sales activities
  • Strategic prospecting: 20% of the pipeline will be self-generated
  • Negotiations and deal closures: Conduct negotiations with potential new customers and create commercial offers
  • Mastering complex sales processes: Navigate legal and procurement processes typical for B2B SaaS sales and ensure smooth deal closure
  • Customer relationships: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers & partners and work with the Customer Success team to identify upselling potential
  • Represent Storyblok at events: Appear as a speaker at stages and events to present Storyblok and attract potential new customers
