Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proven experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeping, and Bank Reconciliation
• Ability to manage financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems
• Experience with U.S. accounting practices or working with U.S. companies is a plus
• Lisbon Metropolitan Region Resident
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Manage and record all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented
• Support Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
• Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting of cash flow and bank balances
• Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, maintaining financial records and ledgers
• Help with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Prepare financial reports and statements as needed
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Support external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for process improvements
• Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures
• Assist with any ad-hoc financial projects as required
