Summary

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting functions in QuickBooks, preparing financial reports, supporting budget preparation, assisting with project bids, reconciling bank accounts, collaborating with project managers, and assisting with audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred), 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in construction), advanced QuickBooks proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry or with a general contractor
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is required
  • Solid understanding of construction cost structures, subcontractor payments, and project-based accounting
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Amenable to work on a night-shift schedule

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions using QuickBooks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Use QuickBooks to assist in putting together project bids or supporting the bidding process
  • Reconcile bank accounts, monitor cash flow, and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions
  • Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure cost tracking aligns with project budgets
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain organized financial records and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in using QuickBooks for preparing or supporting project bids is a strong plus
