Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of general accounting systems, processes and practices
  • 3 -5 years of general accounting or audit experience
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Experience influencing stakeholders through challenging situations
  • Ability to deliver accurate and timely financial outputs
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with people at any level in the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning software (ERP)

Responsibilities

  • Record-2-Report activities
  • Assisting in the generation of general ledger transactions and subsequent related adjustments
  • Supporting monthly activities including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the preparation of financial analysis and reports from a profit and loss and balance sheet perspective
  • Supporting the analysis and review of financial information of discrepancies and variances
  • Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures including initiating any actions to reduce write offs and improve efficiencies
  • Assisting audit preparations and year end activities
  • Supporting the preparation of accounting records and financial reports as per Datacom standards
  • Ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within the set timeframe and any issues addressed as they arise
  • Liaising with the broader team to ensure that all reporting standards are appropriately embedded into relevant finance processes
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting the broader team as required or assigned
  • Supporting in the design and implementation of effective and appropriate financial controls
