Summary

Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of general accounting systems, processes and practices
- 3 -5 years of general accounting or audit experience
- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience influencing stakeholders through challenging situations
- Ability to deliver accurate and timely financial outputs
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with people at any level in the organisation
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning software (ERP)
Responsibilities
- Record-2-Report activities
- Assisting in the generation of general ledger transactions and subsequent related adjustments
- Supporting monthly activities including balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of financial analysis and reports from a profit and loss and balance sheet perspective
- Supporting the analysis and review of financial information of discrepancies and variances
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures including initiating any actions to reduce write offs and improve efficiencies
- Assisting audit preparations and year end activities
- Supporting the preparation of accounting records and financial reports as per Datacom standards
- Ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within the set timeframe and any issues addressed as they arise
- Liaising with the broader team to ensure that all reporting standards are appropriately embedded into relevant finance processes
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting the broader team as required or assigned
- Supporting in the design and implementation of effective and appropriate financial controls
