You will manage month-end close processes, assist in budgeting and forecasting, contribute to financial statement preparation, and manage payroll. Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, within a US based entity
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting and compliance
• Proven experience managing payroll
• Expertise in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and online banking platforms (e.g. Mercury, Brex, Stripe)
• Intermediate to advanced Googlesheet skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels

Responsibilities

• Oversee the US accounting function, ensuring financial integrity and compliance
• Manage month end close processes, including journal entries, revenue recognition and complex reconciliations
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing valuable financial insights
• Contribute to the preparation of Group Annual Financial Statements and support external audits
• Manage payroll processing for employees and contractors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Provide day to day leadership and guidance aligned with Moodle’s mission, values and policies to team members
