Requirements

• Very strong attention to detail. Problem solver. Strong sense of accountability
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of staff accountant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting required
• CPA preferred
• Experience at Big 4 or other top accounting firm preferred
• Must have strong analytical skills coupled with excellent knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with billings, A/R, A/P, and payroll preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of management
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Must be comfortable working independently and remotely, and reporting to all functional leaders of the company
• Prior experience with process improvement/optimization

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile accounts, book journal entries and other adjustments, and close the books timely each month
• Manage billings done through Stripe and bill customers manually as needed
• Receivables aging and collections
• Manage all data flows between Quickbooks, Stripe, Paypal, bank account, and any other related systems
• Monitor purchasing process and pay vendors. Manage and/or monitor payroll process
• Continually streamline, automate, and improve the speed and accuracy of the accounting and its related processes
• 3 statement and other applicable financial statement reporting
• Manage tax processes including 3rd party service providers
• Create financial controls and perform oversight around spending and assets
• Analyze financial results and provide insights
• Perform similar job-related duties as assigned
