Summary
Join TradeCentric as a skilled Accountant and play a vital role in our finance team. You will be responsible for various accounting functions, including monthly financial close, accounts payable, credit card expense management, payroll, and sales tax support across multiple jurisdictions (US, UK, and Romania). This 100% remote position requires strong US GAAP knowledge, multi-jurisdictional accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of US and international accounting standards. Requirements
- Ideally 4+ years of accounting experience with US GAAP and monthly close processes
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices in the US, with experience in multi-jurisdictional accounting: Ideally, with a US parent company and Romanian and/or UK subsidiaries
- Experience with US GAAP required
- Understanding of US sales tax calculations and filing required
- Detail-oriented, strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Accountability and commitment to quality in financial record-keeping and reporting
- Proficient in Excel and able to quickly learn new accounting tools
- Fluency in English and excellent phone and email communication skills
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Avalara, Maxio, and Bill.com
Responsibilities
- Rollforward and preparation of monthly financial reconciliations and workpapers
- Process and manage accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate recording and timely payments
- Accurately record and categorize credit card expenses within the financial system
- Review employee expense reports to ensure correct GL category coding and department allocations
- Maintain financial spreadsheets, including those for prepaid expenses, referral fees, revenue sharing, and ASC606 COGS and commission waterfalls
- Reconcile US sales taxes, maintain compliance with UK and Romanian VAT tax regulations, and assist with audits in the US, UK, and RO jurisdictions
- Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally
- Providing data to support vendor price negotiations and budgeting efforts
- Assist with payroll processes for our US, UK and RO employees
- Assist with various internal projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IFRS is preferred
- Romanian and/or UK VAT regulations is preferred
- Experience with payroll processing for one or more of the US, UK, and RO regions
