Lead Accountant

Summary

Join Wiser Solutions as a hands-on Lead Accountant and contribute to our global accounting team based remotely in Mexico. Collaborate with the US finance team in Massachusetts to manage the US general ledger close process, technical accounting, preparation of consolidated financials in NetSuite, and transfer pricing with foreign subsidiaries. As a key team member, you will prepare reconciliations, assist in financial reporting, and contribute to technical accounting research and implementation. You will also support software implementation and potential acquisition accounting. This role requires a CPA with 7-10 years of experience in an international SaaS technology corporation, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Public accounting experience required; CPA in USA or Certificado from the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos preferred (active or inactive)
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably at a SaaS company
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and taxes (payroll, sales tax and multi-state corporate income taxes)
• Advanced excel skills, experience closing month end periods in accounting software system
• Hands-on experience with a positive attitude and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare reconciliations for monthly and yearly General Ledger close
• Prepare monthly global consolidated financials with assistance from Corporate Controller and foreign subsidiaries
• Assist in the preparation of financial reporting packages and corporate income tax returns
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation as needed
• Assist with software implementation (NetSuite or other software) and potential acquisition accounting as company continues to grow
• Other ad hoc projects as requested by CFO and Corporate Controller
