Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in technical accounting
  • Have 1+ years of direct people management experience
  • Have advanced knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 340, ASC 350, ASC 606, and ASC 842
  • Have experience using SQL to extract, analyze, and report financial data, develop dashboards, and automate reporting for better decision-making and efficiency
  • Have extensive experience working with NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERPs and creating custom reporting in a high transaction volume environment
  • Have exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Payable function with one direct report
  • Apply relevant accounting principles
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
  • Support the Senior Manager with the timely monthly close
  • Provide effective guidance and leadership to Accounts Payable
  • Develop an understanding of complex reconciliations and journal entries
  • Complete your first pass as part of your first financial statement close
  • Technically operate in our Netsuite environment
  • Review and assist in managing the monthly close process
  • Meet cross departmentally to better understand interplay on close, revenue sources, and financial statement impacts
  • Present recommendations, both short term and long term, for optimizing reporting, integrations, and workflows
  • Empower stakeholders across the organization to resolve the most common issues that arise
  • Assist in the annual financial statement audit and tax return and compliance processes
