Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in technical accounting
- Have 1+ years of direct people management experience
- Have advanced knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 340, ASC 350, ASC 606, and ASC 842
- Have experience using SQL to extract, analyze, and report financial data, develop dashboards, and automate reporting for better decision-making and efficiency
- Have extensive experience working with NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERPs and creating custom reporting in a high transaction volume environment
- Have exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Payable function with one direct report
- Apply relevant accounting principles
- Collaborate across departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Support the Senior Manager with the timely monthly close
- Provide effective guidance and leadership to Accounts Payable
- Develop an understanding of complex reconciliations and journal entries
- Complete your first pass as part of your first financial statement close
- Technically operate in our Netsuite environment
- Review and assist in managing the monthly close process
- Meet cross departmentally to better understand interplay on close, revenue sources, and financial statement impacts
- Present recommendations, both short term and long term, for optimizing reporting, integrations, and workflows
- Empower stakeholders across the organization to resolve the most common issues that arise
- Assist in the annual financial statement audit and tax return and compliance processes
