Accounting Manager

Summary

Join Decimal, a fast-growing tech company revolutionizing the SMB accounting industry, as an Accounting Manager. You will be the primary client contact, overseeing accounting operations for multiple clients. This individual contributor role involves building client relationships, collaborating with a support team, and ensuring the quality of their work. Responsibilities include delighting clients, problem-solving with a technology-first approach, and identifying process improvement opportunities. You will also prepare general ledger entries, perform reconciliations, and meet deadlines. The position requires significant experience in public accounting or full-cycle accounting, client relationship management, and QuickBooks Online.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of public accounting or full-cycle accounting experience
• Minimum of 2+ years of client relationship management experience
• Minimum of 2+ years of QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience required
• Ability to communicate with clients and team members clearly and effectively
• Strong analytical skills
• Your Google-it problem-solving skills are top-notch
• You love working with the latest technology

Responsibilities

• Delight clients with expert guidance and support
• Oversee the accounting operations for multiple clients
• Problem-solve with a technology-first mindset
• Collaborating with the analyst team and reviewing: A/P, A/R, Payroll, bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries
• Proactively identify opportunities for automation, delegation, and process improvement
• Prepare general ledger entries and supporting documentation
• Perform, analyze, and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines are met
• Research and resolve questions related to general ledger items

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud accounting tools like Bill.com, Expensify, etc. is a plus
• Prior experience working with multiple clients
