Summary
Join Incode, a leading provider of identity solutions, as a Senior Accounting Manager in Mexico City (or LATAM). You will own revenue recognition (ASC 606), manage COGS, oversee subsidiary operations (Spain and Serbia), and contribute to accounting operations, policy development, and reporting. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CPA) preferred
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on revenue recognition, preferably in a multinational environment
- In-depth understanding and practical application of ASC 606 or any other revenue recognition principles (IFRS, NIIF)
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) management and its impact on financial performance
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Experience in project management, including overseeing cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions that align with the company's commercial objectives
- Proven experience in partnering with various departments to support business growth and optimize financial performance
- Excellent English language skills (verbal and written), with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Proven track record of identifying and resolving accounting irregularities or discrepancies
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Quickbooks, Power BI, etc) for financial reporting and analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs

- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local financial regulations and compliance requirements

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of revenue recognition processes, adhering strictly to ASC 606 principles, and ensuring accurate and compliant reporting
- Provide assistance in the management of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), supporting accurate cost accounting and contributing to margin optimization initiatives
- Provide support in controlling operations for Incode subsidiaries in the US, Mexico, Spain, and Serbia, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across multiple locations
- Stay updated and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements, actively monitoring changes in legislation and providing guidance to management on necessary actions
- Play a key role in budget preparation, contributing valuable insights and analysis to support informed decision-making processes
- Generate comprehensive reports on a daily, monthly, and annual basis, detailing all accounting movements to provide insights into financial activities and performance
- Assist in verifying various accounting operations, including but not limited to payroll, payments to suppliers, legal discounts, purchase orders, and reviewing tax returns. Additionally, collaborate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Offer support in the analysis and booking of travel and expense (T&E) expenses, contributing to the optimization of cost management strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any accounting irregularities, proposing and implementing effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure financial integrity
- Maintain a commercial mindset and consistently prioritize the best interests of the company in all financial and accounting decisions
- Collaborate on various projects as required, leveraging your financial expertise and analytical skills to drive successful outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the organization
