Accounting Manager

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring compliance with client money regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership. This role requires a strong technical background in accounting, budgeting, tax, and financial reporting, along with extensive experience in the financial services sector, ideally within money transmission licensed institutions or money service businesses. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver solutions. sFOX offers a remote-first work environment and a competitive salary range of $165,000 - $190,000 annually.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related areas within the financial services sector
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems and systems migration is an advantage
• Prior experience in Fintech Industry preferably crypto currencies
• Proven experience in the financial services industry, preferably within MTLs or MSBs
• Strong technical knowledge of client money regulations, accounting principles, budgeting, tax, transfer pricing, and financial reporting analysis
• Effective solutions provider, adept at troubleshooting financial issues and offering strategic advice
• Clear, concise communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-suite executives
• Analytical mindset, with a focus on data-driven decision-making

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to client money regulations, implementing and overseeing compliant practices and procedures to safeguard client assets
• Manage all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct financial reporting analysis to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and transfer pricing activities to optimize tax efficiency while meeting international tax standards
• Develop and execute financial strategies that align with organizational objectives and market changes, supporting revenue generation and cost optimization
• Collaborate with senior leadership, providing financial insights and solutions to support decision-making. Present complex data and recommendations in a clear, actionable manner

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, CMA, or similar certification
