Accounting Specialist

Summary

Join Bitso's Accounting team as an Accountant Specialist and contribute to the monthly closing of different entities. You will review P&L and BS items, manage bank and AP/AR reconciliations, conduct monthly tax reviews, and support the audit process. This role requires a degree in Accounting, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in NetSuite and another ERP system. Experience in financial technology or Big 4 firms is preferred. Requirements

• Degree in Accounting
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting
• Experience with NetSuite and another ERP system
• English language proficiency
• General knowledge of Brazil's taxes and regulatory reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy are a must
• Ability to work effectively in teams and with cross-functional partners
• Agile sense of work
• Organized and proactive, takes initiative and prioritizes tasks
• Reliable, trustworthy, high level of integrity with strong service orientation

Responsibilities

• Be part of the NetSuite implementation team and other accounting software
• Manage the annual local audit process and provide support on the corporate review
• Reviews and interprets national and international accounting standards
• Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for different Bitso entities
• Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and promptly, including month-end closing reporting, taxes, and regulatory reports
• Maintaining constant and strong communication with advisors and other team members to ensure the veracity of accounting and financial information and to prepare monthly information for closing
• AP/AR/Bank Reconciliation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial technological companies or a Big4
• Competency in SQL and Macros
• Creative thinking and out-of-the-box solutions for complicated processes
