Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or current enrollment with relevant experience), with a strong foundation in accounting principles
  • Familiarity with payroll and tax systems in Mexico, with additional knowledge of Canada and US systems being highly valued
  • Solid understanding of accounting practices, financial reporting, and bookkeeping
  • Experience or familiarity with local bookkeeping systems and regulations in Mexico
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for our entities in Canada, the US, and Mexico, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations
  • Manage teammate registrations and ensure timely filing of payroll taxes across all jurisdictions
  • Handle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance for our Mexican entity, ensuring alignment with Mexican regulations
  • Utilize local systems and tools to manage financial operations effectively
  • Review and monitor employee expenses to ensure compliance with company policies, such as Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives
  • Generate reports to keep stakeholders informed of expense trends and policy adherence
  • Oversee tax filings and compliance across Canada, the US, and Mexico, liaising with external advisors as needed
  • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments
