Accounts Assistant

Summary

Join iHorizons as a temporary Accounts Payable and Payroll Assistant to support the accounting and senior accountant teams. You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, payments, and payroll processing. Key responsibilities include managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, processing payroll for contractors, and collaborating with the HR payroll team. This role requires a finance background, 2-3 years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software. The position is remote.

Requirements

• Graduation in Finance/Accounts or related fields is mandatory
• Candidate should be able to demonstrate commitment to continued learning in the field of accounts
• Finance professional with 2-3 years’ experience range
• Very good communication skills in English
• Knowledge of all relevant overtime, leave, and benefits regulations
• High level of accounting skills
• Excellent communication and Analytical skills
• Ability to perform accounting activities
• Should be comfortable working remotely
• Should be proficient in accounting systems like Sage, Quickbooks, Odoo

Responsibilities

• Perform bank and related activities including BRS and bookkeeping
• Perform Month end activities and reconciliation of payments
• Assist Accountants on ad-hoc tasks
• Managing vendors both externally and internally
• Ensuring all local and foreign currency payments are sent accurately and on time
• Ensure financial management system is updated for all payments made
• Processing manual payments
• Generate and reconcile weekly vendor payment runs and perform specific quality checks
• Verify and Process payroll for contractors of Recruitment entity
• Collating work records and timesheets
• Validating overtime
• Resolving payroll discrepancies and issues
• Answering payroll-related queries
• Collaborate with the HR payroll team
