Accounts Receivable Accountant

Summary

Join a top-20 accounting and business consulting firm as a highly motivated and detail-oriented AR Accountant. This remote, full-time position offers the opportunity to manage the full Accounts Receivable (AR) process, support a diverse portfolio of clients, and collaborate with internal teams across different time zones. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in AR processes and financial reporting. This is a long-term position with competitive salary and additional perks, working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (+/- 1 hour) PST or CST. The position requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling Accounts Receivable processes and financial reporting
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to varying client processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with clients and teams

Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including invoice preparation, issuance, and tracking
• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
• Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
• Assist in creating and posting journal entries related to AR and revenue transactions
• Perform monthly reconciliations of the AR sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Maintain aging reports and provide regular updates to the management team
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoices, payments, and account issues
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across different time zones (U.S. and India) to ensure smooth processes

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or MS Business Central (Dynamics 365) is preferred
