Join our team as an Accounts Receivable Manager and lead a team, optimize processes, and contribute to company growth. You will play a pivotal role in managing cash flow and revenue cycles. This full-time remote position offers flexible hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:30p ET) and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k with company match, and PTO. You will oversee accounts receivable and billing operations, manage and mentor the team, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in accounts receivable and billing.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in accounts receivable, billing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable and billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
- Manage and mentor the AR and billing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture
- Monitor aging accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and drive collections strategies
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to maintain customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements
- Prepare and present detailed AR and billing reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to address billing or payment issues effectively
- Conduct regular audits of accounts receivable and billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AR and billing team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and billing
- Handle escalations of complex disputes or collection issues with professionalism and efficiency
- Implement and oversee credit policies, ensuring proper evaluation of customer creditworthiness
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continually improve processes
- Collaborate with IT to optimize billing and AR systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
