Manager, Global Accounts Receivable

Summary

Join Discord's Global Accounting Operations team as the Global Accounts Receivable Manager! You will oversee the entire receivables process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role involves managing and analyzing receivables, timely collections, accurate record-keeping, process optimization, and strong customer relationships. You will also work with internal teams to enhance AR processes within Oracle Fusion and implement best practices. The position includes managing a team and preparing reports for senior management. This is a remote position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record in process improvement and experience managing an AR team
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines
• Experience in a global multi legal entity environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, and maintain accurate invoices within Oracle Fusion, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer agreements
• Create and maintain customer records in Oracle Fusion
• Oversee and continuously improve AR processes, implementing best practices and streamlining workflows within Oracle Fusion for timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for effective collection, reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and minimizing outstanding balances
• Foster positive relationships with key customers, managing escalated inquiries and resolving billing disputes to maintain customer satisfaction
• Prepare and present AR aging reports, collection metrics, and financial analyses to senior management, providing insights for informed decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, company policies, and internal controls to safeguard financial data integrity
• Work closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Tax and Revenue Accounting departments to address issues impacting accounts receivable and coordinate on credit policies
• Conduct month end close tasks within Oracle Fusion and prepare month and quarter close reporting

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP systems

US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000 to $152,000 + equity + benefits
