Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field is required
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal effectively with customers and team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming payments and ensure proper posting to customer accounts in the accounting system
  • Monitor accounts for non-payment and delayed payments, and follow up with customers in a timely manner
  • Assist in generating invoices and ensuring the accuracy of billing details
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Resolve customer inquiries and disputes related to accounts receivable
  • Maintain organized records of all collections, payments, and correspondence
  • Prepare and submit regular aging reports to management, highlighting overdue accounts
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to resolve billing discrepancies or issues
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reports
  • Stay current on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with healthcare clients or within a healthcare company is highly regarded
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and accounting software is a plus
