Accounts Receivable Specialist in United States

Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for reviewing account aging, emailing and calling clients to follow up on payments, performing data analysis using accounting software and spreadsheets, and resolving invoice issues. They must have excellent technical skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. A Bachelor's Degree in Business or an associate degree in accounting, or 5+ years of related experience is required. The role involves full-cycle accounts receivable and credit experience, working with ERP and CRM systems, and physical ability to carry out essential job functions.

Requirements

• Excellent technical skills with the ability to set-up and effectively use accounting software, spreadsheets, etc
• Experience documenting processes and creating or supporting SOP development
• Knowledge of general accounting practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Trustworthy and moral character (background & drug tests required)
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business related field or an associate degree in accounting
• 5+ years directly related work experience
• 3+ years of experience of full-cycle accounts receivable and credit experience
• Must have working experience with ERP and CRM systems

Responsibilities

• Reviews account aging
• Emails and calls clients to follow up on payments
• Performs data analysis using accounting software and spreadsheets
• Resolves invoice issues and chargebacks/deductions
