Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience, required
  • 1-2 years of relevant Accounts Receivable experience or analytics experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, specifically in a supply chain environment
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with little to no supervision while performing duties
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizing skills
  • Strong listening, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

Responsibilities

  • Manage cash applications within the organization
  • Create credit memos for deductions and import to Sage
  • Assist with AR Aging and collection by disputing any past-due invoices through customer portals
  • Process AR invoicing in Sage and EDI transactions
  • Request monthly balance statements from customers
  • Provide customer invoice aging statement requests
  • Accurately identify, validate, and clear customer deductions according to established business processes and timelines
  • Be responsible for the timely, accurate, approved entry and maintenance of trade promotions in Tellus, the trade promotion system
  • Research and resolve trade deductions including overages, reclamations, damages, freight, fines, product returns, and other non-promotional deductions
  • Identify deduction trends at the customer level and communicate such trends, helping to develop recommendations for the team to review and implement
  • Build favorable, strong working relationships with key constituents and cross-functional partners (e.g., Sales, Sales Finance, Customer Broker Services)
  • Develop monthly and ad-hoc reports, as needed, to provide data to internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably located in the Pacific Time Zone
  • Experience with Sage X3 or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Finance preferred
