AI Operator, Product Engineer

Summary

Join MLabs as a Product Engineer / AI Operator and contribute across the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production deployment. You will leverage your engineering expertise and AI proficiency to design, build, test, and launch new features. Responsibilities include using AI tools throughout the development process, writing clean and well-documented code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also mentor team members and share your AI-driven workflows. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in building production software, expertise in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript/React, and a proven track record of shipping customer-facing features. Requirements

• 5+ years building production software, with strength in Python (FastAPI, async, distributed systems) and solid JavaScript/TypeScript/React
• Proven record of shipping and owning customer-facing features in a fast-moving team
• Habitual power-user of AI dev tooling
• Comfortable diving into unfamiliar domains —be that cloud ops, CI pipelines, mobile, or a gnarly customer workflow
• Excellent written & verbal communication ; you can explain trade-offs to engineers and non-engineers alike

Responsibilities

• Ship end-to-end features: Design, build, test, and launch new functionality and improvements
• Embrace AI: Use AI coding tools and agents throughout design, development, testing, documentation, and operations
• Own quality: Write clean, well-documented code, maintain sensible tests, and review PRs to keep standards high
• Mentor and multiply: Share AI-driven workflows, pair with teammates, and spread learnings across the team
• Collaborate across functions: Work with product, design, and engineering to enhance user experience and system performance
• Support where needed: Handle tasks ranging from infrastructure tweaks to customer support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with LLMs
• React Native / Expo
• Cloud Ops (AWS, Azure), Terraform
• AEC industry exposure–or curiosity to learn fast
