Join Eurofins Umwelt, Germany's leading environmental analyst, and become our new Application Support Specialist! Based in Wesseling, you will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex IT incidents and problems for core applications (LIMS, CRM, industry solutions). You will conduct detailed data analysis using SQL, manage application configuration, troubleshoot interface problems (APIs, ESB, web services), and collaborate with various departments. The role requires strong SQL skills, application configuration experience, understanding of interface concepts, and knowledge of server operating systems. Requirements
- Good SQL skills (ideally for MS SQL Server and/or Oracle) for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Ability and motivation to independently delve into the functionality and technology of our diverse core applications. Experience in application configuration is a plus
- Good understanding of various interface concepts (REST/SOAP APIs, (S)FTP, web services, message queues, ESB) and practical experience in troubleshooting
- Good understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and their interaction with applications
- Experience in systematic error analysis (log file analysis, debugging, root cause analysis) as well as knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with ticketing systems
Responsibilities
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex IT incidents and problems for core applications (e.g., LIMS, CRM, industry solutions)
- Conduct detailed data analysis using SQL to uncover error causes and ensure data consistency
- Manage and configure applications
- Analyze and resolve interface problems (APIs, ESB, web services, file transfers)
- Analyze and understand data flows across system boundaries and work closely with departments to understand underlying business processes
- Develop sustainable solutions, document them precisely, and support testing of bug fixes and new releases
- Work according to established ITIL processes and use ITSM tools to manage tasks
