Applications Support Engineer

Summary

The job is for a permanent Applications Support Engineer position at Sword, focusing on supporting and managing customer's portfolio of applications and systems in the Energy sector or similar application portfolios. The role can be remote, UK based.

Requirements

• Experience as an Applications Engineer
• Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle and necessary database interfaces
• Experience working and liaising closely with vendors
• Analytical skills
• Application interoperability, integration, data flows, functionality overlap
• Real-time data / PI knowledge/understanding
• Database knowledge
• Reporting
• Understanding on Allocations, system configuration and performance, Production / Lost-production figures

Responsibilities

Support and manage customer’s portfolio of applications and systems to support a wide range of critical business processes

Preferred Qualifications

Automation/scripting skills: csharp, Python (desirable)
