Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- 12+ years of experience in accounting, including Big 4 public accounting and corporate experience in a high growth environment
- 4+ years of experience in a leadership capacity managing, mentoring, and overseeing performance of teams
- Expertise managing month-end and financial operations
- Proven proficiency spearheading systems and process improvement, including ERP and automation tools
- A strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Oversee Rulaโs accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, process improvements, and a faster month-end close
- Manage a team of six individuals
- Implement automation and system enhancements
- Collaborate across Finance, Financial Operations, Procurement, and external partners
- Streamline operations, reducing the month-end close from eight to five days
- Support major initiatives like implementing a new chart of accounts and procurement system
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a high growth start-up or healthcare/technology industry
- Experience in a public company environment and/or preparing a company for IPO/readiness
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Skillfulness in implementing finance systems
- Strong project management experience, with an ability to drive change
- A proven expertise in navigating complex accounting issues with analytical prowess dynamic problem solving skills
