Join DEPTยฎ as an Associate Director, Integrated Media Strategy & Planning, playing a key leadership role in agency development and strategic client partnerships. This crucial position involves shaping best-in-class integrated media strategies, driving implementation across B2B clients, and collaborating with various internal teams. You will be responsible for leading full-funnel, data-driven strategies, leveraging first-party data, and monitoring marketing trends. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with B2B brands, and proficiency in media planning tools. You will champion client work, understand their business needs, and contribute to client presentations. This position offers the opportunity to refine products and processes, while fostering team growth and collaboration.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in omni-channel media strategy, planning & activation inclusive of all digital channels; knowledge and experience in traditional channels is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience working with nationally / globally recognized B2B brands, ideally in a multi-agency and stakeholder environment
- Understanding of brand and performance media and the synergy across the two
- Able to clearly and concisely articulate a persuasive point of view, both written and verbal, presenting to project stakeholders
- Curious and creative, while rigorous and analytical
- Able to understand clients visible and invisible needs
- Strong collaboration, client relationship, and leadership skills
- Experience navigating cross-functional teams and dynamics
- Deep experience with media industry research and planning tools (i.e. ComScore, MRI, GWI, Kantar, Pathmatics)
Responsibilities
- Lead full funnel, connected media and data driven strategies
- Understand first-party data to elevate strategic opportunities
- Continually monitor current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitors
- Experience using insights from data to tell a story
- Steer the creation of holistic communication plans and corresponding media strategies; from setting objectives & KPIs, audience sizing, profiling, targeting, , determining media channel mix and potential tactics/partners, budget setting to measurement frameworks
- Closely partner and collaborate with interconnected internal teams such as Client Services, Creative Services, Activation and Decision Sciences when creating and executing holistic media campaigns
- Work along a range of cross-discipline teams both within the agency and clientโs team alike, building a collaborative and trusting relationship along the way
- Is a trusted advisor for internal functional team members and external partners and becoming an expert within integrated planning
- Ability to boost morale and develop team culture - being a positive example and growing careers of junior team members alike
- Provides new or different thinking and shares ideas openly
- Strong communication and presentation skills and is able to contribute to a client presentation confidently on their own
- Strong analytical mind and strategic thinker / problem solver and is solution-oriented
- Deep understanding of what makes a B2B campaign successful and experience guiding multiple teams on best practices for the unique world of creating qualified leads
- Support the expansion of our Integrated Planning and Strategy practice within the Creative & Media team at DEPT within North America and globally
- Have the aptitude for elevating a clientโs ambition in ways that allow us to over deliver and bring proactive growth orientated solutions
- Champion the work by having a deep understanding of our partners business and what makes it tick
- Must have a strong passion for critical thinking, problem solving, and a deep understanding of how businesses engage with other organizations, stakeholders and decision makers, with an equal understanding of the role that data and technology play in driving these relationships forward
