Summary
Join DEPT® as an Associate Strategy Director and lead the development of products, services, and experiences for top brands. You will drive brand, product, and customer experience strategies across digital channels, collaborating with clients and colleagues. This role requires defining digital products and CX strategy, developing foundational brand strategies, and distilling complex information into simple, inspiring ideas. You will facilitate collaboration, build strong client relationships, lead projects, generate insights, and support creative teams. The position involves designing and facilitating workshops, conducting research, building presentations, and working with various tools and platforms. Requirements
- Knowledge, communicative and analytical skills equivalent to those normally obtained through receipt of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent years of additional related professional experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in strategic roles in product design, experience design, and brand strategy
- Experience leading large strategic projects in partnership with up-to-C-level clients
- Experience and working knowledge of digital products and apps, websites, social, retail, CRM, digital marketing, content, and common analytics platforms

- Help shape the future of the Strategy discipline, including process, capabilities, and offerings
- Capable of defining digital products and CX strategy through the lens of brand to create genuinely differentiated products, services and systems
- Capable of collaborating with senior clients and colleagues to define foundational brand strategies—customer segmentation, brand architecture, positioning, and naming
- Able to distill complicated things into simple ideas, and transform simple ideas into inspiring creative and design opportunities
- Fluent in culture—what’s happening in the world, why is it happening—and be capable of applying that understanding to the work
- Someone who values curiosity, creativity, and the relevant application of those traits to make original work
- Comfortable applying critical analysis to various sources of data and analytics in order to distill meaningful insights for our teams and clients
- A natural facilitator of collaboration who’s skilled at not just working with others, but also helping others work well with each other
- Skilled at building strong, influential relationships with clients at all levels and colleagues across all disciplines
- Lead project strategies to meet and exceed client and team goals
- Generate insights that facilitate creative thinking and innovation
- Support creative teams in maintaining the integrity of the project strategy and/or evolving where appropriate
- Design and facilitate remote workshops and Q&A sessions with client teams
- Design and execute primary qualitative and quantitative research
- Provide informed opinions on how to achieve specific outcomes by using both empirical research and your subjective expertise
- Build presentations and lead share-outs, check-ins, and presentations to every level of stakeholder from the day-to-day point of contacts all the way up to C-level executives
- Work with minimal processes in place, solving problems by being optimistic and using proactive thought processes and skills
- Support and grow in the role by actively seeking out and proposing ideas to better improve company operations
- Work in Google Suite, Figma, Miro, and various collaboration platforms (e.g. Slack, Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc)
