Summary

Join the People and Culture Team at GFiber as an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the implementation and administration of holistic benefit and wellness strategies and programs. In this role, you will design, implement, and administer benefits and wellness programs that are comprehensive and competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of benefits administration experience
  • 5 years of experience in vendor and program management
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and programs
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PPACA, and federal and state laws regarding benefits and compliance (e.g. ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience completing and reporting on compliance requirements (e.g. filing 5500, Non-discrimination testing, OSHA reporting, hosting of trainings etc.)
  • Experience launching and iterating on benefits and wellness programs in a large or medium sized company including directing vendors/consultants and negotiating contracts/agreements

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of holistic benefit and wellness strategies and programs that are compliant and market competitive
  • Develop and guide vendor relationships and performance that support benefit offerings for GFiber employees
  • Collaborate closely with our third party benefits brokerage to understand local or nuanced benefits needs and the external market competitiveness of GFiberโ€™s benefits offerings
  • Conduct research of market trends, participate in benefits surveys, and stay abreast of emerging benefits trends to maintain an evolving benefits portfolio while providing analytical feedback as to how a decision was made
  • Manage end-to-end benefits administration including maintaining benefits invoicing, internal audits, open enrollment, benefits and wellness-related communications, supporting third party concierge as needed, and hosting benefits orientation for new hires
  • Complete all necessary compliance requirements (e.g. filing 5500, Non-discrimination testing, OSHA reporting, hosting of trainings etc.)
  • Develop innovative, effective, and inclusive health and well-being solutions at scale to support the needs of distributed managers and teams, and build accurate and robust reporting and metrics that help drive those well-being initiatives
  • Produce reports and other analytics for leadership as needed, and partner with planning and finance teams for relevant data requests

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in benefits plan design and administration
  • 7 years of experience leading customer or healthcare provider facing projects, including business process design, business integration and information technology
  • Experience using written/verbal communication, influencing, and negotiation skills to build relationships and work collaboratively across multiple offices and vendors
  • Experience exercising independent judgment and discretion while using company policies and practices to analyze situations, spot potential issues and determine appropriate action
  • Experience with Workday and Google Suite
